Known as the Jathika Namal Uyana, this attraction in Sri Lanka is home to a temple and a forest sanctuary and is located in the Dambulla area within the boundaries of the cultural triangle. This off the beaten track sanctuary has two main features that attract visitors. It’s home to the largest rose quartz mountain in South Asia and also a forest with a massive plantation of iron wood trees which served as an ancient asylum. The trek will take you through ruins of a monastery and foundations of old buildings that might have been a part of the complex. According to historians, the pink quartz mountain boasts of a history of over 550 million years.

This booking reference enables you to obtain a pass to enter the location. Please note that this acts only as an entry pass while services of a guide will have to be booked separately. It is advised that you book these tickets prior to your visit so that there are no delays.
